The Olympic Sport Witnesses Registration from Over 180 Athletes across 40 Countries – Signals Bright Start for America’s First Professional Table Tennis League

Major League Table Tennis (MLTT) is excited to announce the close of draft registration for its inaugural season. The response has been overwhelming with over 180 players from 40 countries submitting their applications to join the league. The impressive diverse pool of players, with a notable number of women participants, sets the stage for a thrilling and inclusive first season.

“We launched MLTT publicly just three months ago and these numbers are a clear sign that we’re onto something big,” said Flint Lane, MLTT Commissioner and CEO. “We’re blown away by the enthusiasm and diversity of the talent pool and excited to translate this dynamic energy into a thrilling season.”

As MLTT gears up for the debut season, all eyes are on the upcoming events:

  • July 10, 2023 – The First Quartet: Unveiling of 4 Team Names and Cities
  • July 17, 2023 – The Second Quartet: Unveiling of 4 Additional Teams and Cities
  • August 9, 2023 – MLTT Lottery: Team Drawing to Determine Draft Order
  • August 12-13, 2023 – MLTT Player Combine East – Princeton, NJ
  • August 19-20, 2023 – MLTT Player Combine West – Fountain Valley, CA
  • August 26, 2023 – Official Draft Day: Eight teams to select eight players each, shaping the rosters for America’s first professional table tennis season
  • September – Regular Season Begins
